Happy Friday and welcome to this week’s Fab Five Friday! I hope all your New Years goals are keeping up on the right track and you are feeling like your best self! We’re one more week in to January and it’s flying by. The weather has been so nice lately, it’s making the weekends so enjoyable!
MLK Weekend Highlights
Speaking of the weather, this past weekend we celebrated Martin Luther King, Jr. day on Monday in downtown Winter Garden with a parade and festival. It was a beautiful day to be outside and connect with the community. There was a live band, who was really great, right near all the kids activities so it was wonderful to listen to them while the kids had fun.
Vampire Penguin
We recently went to Vampire Penguin with the kids to meet up with some friends. I know what you’re thinking…. “What kind of place is this to bring children?!?!” Ha! It’s an interesting name, but it’s actually a dessert place! They serve these really interesting shaved ice desserts in all these crazy flavors. It’s definitely an experience! I’m gonna have to remember this and head back there when we want to do something a little different. Very cool experience!
Olive & June
I have been searching for a solution for my nails for a while and finally tried the Olive & June system. So far I am really loving how my nails look, actually healthy! And the gel manicure does have a salon look to it. For my first time I already learned a lot about the application process and I think I can get better over time. Plus they have some really helpful hints and tips on their Instagram and website that are great! I’m so excited to try another color! And definitely excited that I don’t need to leave my house to get my nails done, which was the ultimate goal. I ordered my kit from their site, but they have displays in Target now, which is super cool!
Yoga by Kassandra
I absolutely love Kassandra! She has a YouTube channel with amazing Yoga classes. I’ve raved about her before, but I’ve been doing her 30 Day Morning Yoga Challenge this month and I already feel so much better throughout the day. Flexibility wise and stress wise, and it’s only 10 minutes a day! I highly recommend this challenge and taking a look at her other videos because she is a really great instructor.
Athleta Sale
Athleta has been having some amazing sales! Which is one of my favorite workout clothes brands. I recently checked out their site and they had an amazing discount on their clearance so I grabbed a few tops to refresh my gym wardrobe. They were $5-$8 after all the discounts! So excited to get them. They are doing 20% off right now site-wide, even on their new arrivals! There is nothing more motivating to workout, then a little wardrobe refresh!
I hope you have an amazing weekend, and thank you for stopping by for this week’s Fab Five Friday!
