Happy Friday! I seriously do not know how these past two weeks flew by. So much is going on it seems with the kids and the end of school, PTO responsibilities, social life and work. All good things I cannot complain, but man, time is seriously flying! This week has been leading up to Rylee’s 10th birthday celebration, which she is so excited about. More on that later in this post. 😉 ) To kick off this Fab Five Friday, I have to mention my first chaperone experience in St. Augustine for Rylee’s 4th grade field trip that happened last week.
1. Field Trip to St. Augustine
I never in my wildest dreams thought I would be able to chaperone a field trip for my kids. One of those working mom sacrifices I guess, is what I always thought. Saving up time off for vacations and trips versus single days off in the middle of the week. But I am so happy that I was able to make this work with the benefits of my company now that we are virtual. It makes it a lot easier to catch up on work and be available for the team if needed. This is a memory I will seriously never forget. I rode the bus with the kids, because why not, right? First time, you gotta experience it all! The weather was amazing and it was so nice to feel a part of Rylee’s circle of friends and a part of the school community.
2. GOOPGLOW Microderm Instant Glow Exfoliator
The next thing I wanted to highlight this week, which I’ve been loving the past two is this GOOPGLOW Microderm Glow Exfoliator. First, I love this brand in general because it’s all natural ingredients. I’ve been using this once a week and love the way my skin feels after. It’s a small container but a little goes a long way.
3. Portable Charger
How cool is this thing? I’m not sure how long these types of portable chargers have been around but they are genius. This TG90 Portable Charger has the cords built in for several types of devices, so you don’t need to go looking in your purse for all the cords or forget to bring them. So convenient! And it is pretty powerful, too.
4. NARS Lip Gloss
This NARS lip gloss was gifted to me, and it is my favorite! (This color is called Orgasm, which I didn’t know until I decided to share on the blog… so, sorry for anything inappropriate. 🙂 I love the color so much, it’s pretty and has a really nice shine to it. I’d definitely recommend and will probably need another one when this runs out.
5. Rylee’s Birthday Celebration
And finally, I have to end on Rylee’s 10th birthday, which was on Tuesday this week. I shared her 10 year Old Interview on the blog and it was such a blast. She is growing into such a sweet (and sassy!) girl who loves to read, play with her friends (she’s a social butterfly) and travel. But most of all, she loves to shop! She’s definitely got the bug and that is what she wants to do for her birthday this year. We’ve invited a few of her closest friends to a shopping spree at the mall tomorrow and we cannot wait. I’ll definitely be posting a recap of this experience because I think it is going to be epic! It’s such a change from a typical birthday party and I cannot wait to see the looks on the girls faces when they see the surprises I have in store for them.
Have a great TGIF and weekend and I hope you enjoyed stopping by for this week’s Fab Five Friday!
