Let the race a month in 2014 Running Challenge begin!
My commitment to fitness this year was to complete one race a month and I am so excited to report back on my first race of the year.
The Color Run in Clearwater, Florida!
When my surprise running guest and I arrived, the atmosphere was bright and cheery, regardless of the overcast weather.
There was a stage set up playing music and even held fitness instructors who warmed us up with a Zumba class and a good stretch before we lined up at the start line.
It was such a blast, but I don’t need to write about it, because you gotta check out my video recap of the entire experience!

I must say that running with my husband was one of the best race experiences I have ever had!
I had originally planned to run the race with my good friend Loreyn, but because of her rigorous law school schedule, she wasn’t able to make the trip last minute. Brett could tell that I was bummed, so he jumped in to be her replacement!
It was such a great race, but being able to participate for the first time ever in a race with Brett made it even better! He is always so much fun and during the race there was no exception. I felt like I wasn’t even running the whole time, just having fun! And to know this whole time that he is NOT a runner at all, but he joined me anyways made the experience extra special.
I would definitely participate in The Color Run again!
This year was the Kaleidoscope tour, so during the after party, they had awesome photo ops!
At the time I took that photo, I had no clue it was going to look that cool! I wonder what they will come up with next year!
