This weekend was an action packed one! It always makes the weekend go by so fast, but this one was a blast.
Friday
We kicked off the weekend with a ride to DTWG to have dinner at Hangry Bison. The atmosphere is so amazing there and the kids love to play around in the grass.
The new pizza restaurant next store, Mangoni, had the cutest gelato cart outside too and the kids had some after dinner. They gave me their homemade almond cookies, which were delicious.
Saturday
I started the morning off at the new Power Yoga in Winter Garden. I am really loving it so far and it is so close and convenient to my house, which makes going easier.
I had to run a few errands afterwards for Father’s Day brunch, so I grabbed a mango, avocado, coconut water and bee pollen smoothie at Press’D. I had never heard of bee pollen before for protein. It was really interesting!
My mom and I met up at the Farmer’s Market on the hunt for some organic and pasture-raised meats, especially chicken. It’s been so hard to find even chicken breasts at the store by us so to find locally raised meats was really exciting. I never really knew we had that there!
For lunch, we went to the new Fresh Kitchen in Winter Garden that just opened. It was really good! It was pretty crowded and we ate outside, but a storm was brewing so we had to eat fast and I didn’t snap a picture. But we will be back!
That night, we went to a friends house to watch the Lightning game and enjoyed (some of us) a hot sauce eating game. Our sauces were actually a bit out of order and the second one in I was dying, so needless to say I didn’t make it very far. But I didn’t have high hopes for myself anyways!
Sunday
Father’s Day was a blast. We served all the Dads a brunch with Bloody Mary’s and coffee. And then exchanged gifts and hung around watching golf.
Sunday also happened to be Brett’s birthday. His birthday is always around Father’s Day, but not usually the same day.
We’ve had tickets to go to the Poison, Motley Crue and Def Leppard concert since before covid, which are Brett’s favorite bands. It just so happened that it was rescheduled on his birthday. The perfect celebration!
The concert was so good. It even started with Joan Jett who I think is so cool!
And to top off the whole weekend, Reece lost his two front teeth in the same day!
I just love how cute the kids look with their two front teeth missing! It’s such a cute time and they will never look like this again, so I just can’t get enough of it.
Good times!
