Fab Five Friday 95

Another Friday and it’s finally is starting to feel like fall! The cool mornings, pumpkin spice filling the air and flavoring in my coffee have been bringing all the fall vibes. This week was another busy one at work but I feel very accomplished and looking forward to the weekend. We are heading to Tampa for Reece’s first soccer tournament of the season. It’s Halloween themed, called the Monster Mash, and they have a haunted house right near the fields. We went last year and it was such a blast! We are looking forward to it for sure. And with that and no further ado, let’s get into the fab five this Friday!

1. Our 14th wedding Anniversary

It was our 14th wedding anniversary last Thursday and although we waited until the absolute last minute to make plans, we thankfully got a table on Saturday night at Chatham’s Place, and wow what a hidden gem. It’s been in the area for years and I’ve always heard good things, but the experience is undescribable. The service was top notch, the food was incredible. It reminded me of the show The Bear. we loved it!

2. Kid’s Activities Halloween Costumes

So both Rylee and Reece have Halloween events this year, one being this weekend with Reece going to Monster Mash and Rylee having a dress up week at dance. They already had their costumes picked out and bought, but both events featured costume weeks or a costume contest. These options were such smart low cost options for both of them. Rylee is going to dress up with friends as the Aliens from Toy Story which was only $16 and Reece is going to be a Referee. So cute!

3. Athleta Sale

Next up is this amazing sale at athleta. This was the first real workout clothes brand I fell in love with years ago and have been loyal ever since. The quality, comfort and fit are so amazing and I love when their items go on sale. I snagged a few pieces that I absolutely love and can’t wait to get.

4. Book Club is Back!

Fab Five - Book Club

Our book club usually take a short break in the summer due to crazy schedules and vacations, and our first meeting back was this passed week. We were discussing The Starling House and it couldn’t have been a more perfect pick for this spooky Halloween season.

Totally funny story, we were all discussing the book and went down rabbit holes without even following the questions, the discussion was amazing! And one of us brought up the ending, saying that she wasn’t sure about it. That the author just kind of… ended it. As we starting thinking about this, one of us turned to the back of the book, finding a secret chapter that for some wild reason, none of us had read previously. It was titled 7 Years Later. So we took turns reading it out loud and ended up falling in love with the ending! It was such a fun experience and was such a fun night.

5. Middle School Night at our HS

Fab Five - Middle School Night

Last Friday, Rylee was invited to the high school for the football game for middle school night. I thought that was such a fun and awesome experience for her! She went with her band class and got to march and stand with the high school band. How cool! It was so much fun to see the game and the school she will be going to in a couple years. We also got a glimpse of the dance team and they are amazing! I was totally reminiscing about my high school days and dug up some videos of my dance team on the sidelines to show her. It was fun and I think she’s inspired to try out for the team now.

So much fun as always connecting with you on this Fab Five Friday!
