Happy Fab Five Friday! May-cember is real, ya’ll! I’ve been MIA on the blog with everything going on in life at the end of the school year. Let’s see, after we got home from Easter weekend when I last posted….

Rylee competed in her last regionals competition of the year…
I travelled to Detroit for a work trip…

we hosted a sleepover birthday party and movie night for Rylee’s 12th…
my mom and I celebrated mother’s day with a lovely high tea…

Reece’s team won the Rush Champions Cup Soccer Tournament…
I finished off the school year on a high note with our end of year PTO dinner…

Reece’s team won the UA Flag Football championship…
and we enjoyed a staycation at the Marriott World Center for Memorial Day!

It’s been a whirlwind and it’s going by so dang fast, it’s insane. Things are finally starting to settle down a bit with our backyard project coming to a close, and the summer in full swing. Camps are starting up for the kids next week so they are really excited about that. But here’s what’s going on this Fab Five Friday and some highlights from this past week!
1. Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas

Book Two of the Throne of Glass series, and I am still hooked! This one ends on a crazy cliff hanger and I am glad I had already reserved the next one from the library. It should be on it’s way right now. Perfect poolside reading.
2. Coastal Pillows
Ok, I feel like I could scroll this Amazon Store Page for hours. So many gorgeous combinations and major Serena & Lily vibes. Not only are these pillow covers so pretty, but I was really impressed with the quality, too.

If my husband would let me, I’d definitely have a couch full of pillows because it’s just gorg. I mean how can you choose from these options!

3. Evergreen Waffles
I recently partnered with Evergreen Waffles and got to try so many of their amazing flavors. They are as easy as popping into the toaster for a few minutes and topping with your favorite toppings and you get a whole delicious serving of fruits and veggies, protein and fiber in a nutritious breakfast.

They are kid approved, too! Rylee loved eating these (especially the chocolate flavored ones) and it was so easy in the mornings because she was able to make them completely on her own. Check them out at your local grocery store, like Target or Sprouts.

4. Summer Reading Journal with Barnes & Noble

I always try to encourage the kids to read during the summer, even though it’s hard to avoid TVs and devices. But I decided to download the B&N Summer Reading Journal to help be track and log their books, and the bonus incentive is they will give the kids a free book for reading 8 books this summer. So far Reece and I have visited the library to stock up on books and he’s on his second one. Score!
5. First Week of Summer

We are down our first full week of summer, and the kids have been enjoying the pool already. It was ready just in time for the summer and it is getting so hot already. Our final touches are still to be completed (hopefully this weekend, fingers crossed) and then I’ll be able to share the big reveal! But it’s so nice that the kids are still able to use it while we finish up.
Thank you for stopping by this Fab Five Friday! I hope you have a wonderful and relaxing weekend ahead!
