Happy Friday! Another week in the books and it feels like this year is flying by. We’re almost near the craziness of the holidays, and then before we know it, the year is over! We’re trying to slow down over here, but it’s hard to do with so much on the agenda. So let’s take a moment to reflect on the week and get into this week’s Fab Five Friday!
1. Hurricane Milton Update Aftermath
First up, we’re to thankful that Milton didn’t cause any more damage to ours or our friends’ and family’s houses except for power and internet outages, and lots of downed trees and branches. This storm was a really scary one as it built up in the Gulf and pummeled toward us. In the wake of the storm, we took a walk around Downtown Winter Garden to see how things were going with our neighborhood friends, to get out of the house.
2. Decorating for Halloween
The Halloween decorations are up! And I am loving our entryway, right above the piano. It came out great. I also set up the graveyard in the front of the house, which I didn’t get to finish due to Milton. It’s definitely getting better as I keep adding to it over the years.
3. Nicole’s 40 Fest!
We didn’t get to jetset to Key West for Nicole’s fantastic 40th like we originally planned since Milton cancelled everything, but we made the best of it with this crew, and had a blast! We went to Volcano Bay for the day and it was so much fun! Such a great park with so many cool rides. It was still such an amazing time and we love this group!
4. Concert Tonight!
The whole family is heading to a concert tonight to see one of our favorite bands, I See Stars. We’ve been listening to them for a while now and can’t wait to see them live. It’s Reece’s first real concert at this kind of venue, The House of Blues, so he’s super excited to see what it’s like!
5. When You Ask Your Kids For Help Around the House
I was looking through photos for this post and came across this one that I snapped as I was laughing to myself at how Reece put away the toilet paper when I asked him the other day. This is what you get for asking the kids for help! It made me laugh to myself so I thought it was a funny and totally “real life moment” photo to share.
I hope your weekend is filled with lots of cool weather and Halloween/Fall vibes! Happy Fab Five Friday!
Happy Halloween!
