Happy Friday! Another week in the books, and January is almost over. That is a little crazy. We’re gearing up for this year’s chili cookoff which takes place this weekend in Avalon Park. It’s a great event and for a great cause and we’re excited to defend our title once again! Should be a great time, but lots of prep this week to make it all happen. The end of January also means the end of Dry January! This year was much easier than past years, hardly realized I was doing it, but I am definitely craving a glass of red wine. Only a few more days! Now let’s get on with Fab Five Friday!
1. Frontier Soups
I am so excited to share this find with you. We picked up a few of these Frontier Soups from a local store in town, and made a chicken stew one, and it was amazing. The kids had multiple servings and it tasted that good. The packages come with all the dried ingredients, and at home you add the chicken broth, chicken and any fresh ingredients and let it simmer. It was delicious. I can’t wait to try this Chicken & Rice soup mix next.
2. Woven Purse
I am in love with this woven bag I got for Christmas. It’s on Amazon and the quality is really nice. It goes with everything and it’s really light. So far I love how it looks with pretty much anything. Highly recommend!
3. The House in the Pines by Ana Reyes
I just finished reading this book and it was really good. Very different from what you might think based off the title and an absolute thriller. Kept me engaged the entire time trying to figure out the ending. Don’t want to give it away, but it’s worth picking up.
4. Book Club Pick – Fourth Wing
It’s almost time to review our January book club! We’ve been reading Fourth Wing and I’m almost done with it. I’m really looking forward to hearing everyone’s thoughts on this one! Follow along here to see all of the book club picks for this year. February’s will be announced soon!
5. HP Instant Ink
I have to rave about HP Instant Ink. If you have a printer at home and don’t have this, it’s a must. You never have to worry about running out of ink, and it’s the best thing ever to be able to print anything you need in a pinch. And it happens more than you can think in the 11th hour, especially with kids in school. They can digitally keep track of how much ink you have left in your printer, and they charge you based on how many pages a month you print. Then they send you free refills as you need them. It’s so convenient and really affordable. I don’t print that much, so I am on the lowest plan which is 15 pages a month and $1 per page after that. Plus they recycle the empty cartridges for you. Look into this if you don’t have it already!
Thanks for stopping by on this Fab Friday! Have a great weekend!
