Happy Friday! Is anyone else excited for the weekend or is it just me? It’s been another busy week over here, but I am so thankful for all the support I have with my parents nearby, friends who are always willing to help and an amazing partner in life (aka Brett). I really hope that these posts bring some joy to those having a rough week, as they do for me being a creative outlet, because life can get heavy and hard sometimes. Just know that you have love and support around you and hopefully you can find joy in all the little things even though the big ones can sometimes takeover.
That was a little deep, but if anyone needed that this week, I hope it made it to you. 🙂 Moving on to this week’s Fab Five Friday, let’s get into it!
1. Olive & June Press-on Nails
I’ve mentioned Olive & June on the blog before, and I keep falling in love with more and more of their products! I recently tried their press-ons and not having great experiences with press-ons in the past, I was skeptical. I was so impressed by how real they look and how comfortable they are to wear and get through everyday life. They last a solid week, and look just like a gel manicure. I can definitely say I’d rather spend $10 for my nails to look this good than spend hours and $$$ in the salon.
I also like my nails really short, and these are very easy to trim and file down, just like real nails.
2. The Christie Affair by Nina de Gramont
I got really into audio books after reading The Testaments, from a previous Fab Five Friday and downloaded this one. We were in between books with the book club and it was available right away for download so I started it, and it is so, so good. I sometimes forget why I put books on my list so when I get to them I don’t know what they are about. I highly recommend this. Lost of twists and vivid scenes described. So good!
3. It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover
This was our next book club read and another audiobook version. I love listening to them while making the kids lunches, prepping dinners, folding laundry, etc. It gives me something look forward to on walks too. I love reading a real book, but I’m starting to see why audiobooks are so much more convenient!
This book was great! Colleen Hoover really does an amazing job creating characters you fall in love with and emotional relationships that just cut to the core of you. There’s a real message about domestic abuse too, that opens your eyes to why certain situations are the way they are. Very good read!
4. Old Navy Pants
I’ve been in search for what I am calling a Mom Wardrobe that consists of comfortable, yet presentable clothing that is not only leggings. I pretty much live in gym clothes, but sometimes I want to wear something else, and the most important thing is comfort in all scenarios. I came across these fun pants at Old Navy that you can dress up or down, and they are super comfortable.
Still trying to figure out my size with Old Navy, and think I may need to go down one. Looking at the model online they have a more cropped look to them, but either way I still think they are cute.
5. Earth Day Poem
Earth Day is tomorrow! In honor of our planet Earth and Mother Nature, check out this poem I wrote and posted on the blog. Let’s all make a promise to be conscious of how we treat our planet tomorrow, and always. Bring reusable bags to the store, skip the straw at Starbucks or bring your own, recycle as much as possible, pick up trash you see on the ground. Let’s make an effort! 🙂
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!
Nice!
