Happy Friday! I’m very excited about this week’s Fab Five and I am so glad you stopped by! Another week is in the books and it’s a week closer to Halloween! I’ve been planning and waiting for this holiday to come, but now I feel like it has really crept up on us! (Yes, pun intended!) This weekend we are heading to The Grove Resort & Water Park for a staycation with Brett’s parents. And it’s addressed in Winter Garden actually, about 30 minutes away! It looks really nice, with modern amenities and tons to do for the kids. We are looking forward to a nice getaway, with not too much travel, where we can relax, have some fun by the pool and enjoy each other’s company.
So let’s get back into this week’s Fab Five!
Instant Pot Chicken Tacos Recipe
I have to shout out to this Instant Pot chicken taco recipe. With so much going on every week, all the kids’ activities and Brett out of town for work—I thought ahead on one of our busiest nights and made this dish. I made it in the crockpot on low for 4 hours, instead of the Instant Pot so it could cook while was taking the kids around to their different activities. It was so easy to make and it was really great to come home to dinner already made and ready to go.
Athleta Purana Sweater
This week the colder weather finally hit! It was in the 50s and I loved it. Anything colder than that, and my Florida blood freezes, so this was perfect. And my favorite part is whipping out all my favorite sweaters! This Athleta sweater is one of my absolute favorites. It’s so comfortable and soft and it washes really well. Athleta is having a sale right now, too, for 20% off sitewide so it’s a great time to shop!
How to Automatically Plan Meals Using Trello Post
If you missed my blog post from earlier this week, check it out! It’s a step-by-step guide to help you automatically plan your meals using Trello. I love Trello so much, people at work know this about me! We use it every single day there and I figured out a way to use it for personal use as well, to automatically plan my meals every week. It’s honestly fun to setup and it really helps with planning each week. And a bonus, it also creates a shopping list based on the planned meals to make going to the store super easy!
All in Motion Activewear at Target
I have been searching for some athletic wear to refresh my wardrobe that isn’t going to break the bank. A lot of my favorite brands like Athleta are very expensive and I can’t always spend $100 on a pair of leggings. I’m also a fan of matching sets, but that means I’m buying two pieces. Gah! Haha! Anyways, I tried on some pieces of all in motion athletic wear at Target and I really like the quality! The prices are great, too, and would make a nice gift for the holidays.
Here are some of the sets I was eyeing:
- Pink Ribbed Crop Tank – $20
- Pink Ribbed 7/8 Leggins – $35
- Light Green Corded Sports Bra – $20
- Light Green Corded Leggings – $32
Crooked Can Yoga & Beer
Yoga is back at the brewery! Every third Sunday of the month, there’s yoga on the lawn at the brewery instructed by Central Florida Power Yoga. It’s $20 and it includes a pint of beer! I went there this past Sunday and it was great! The weather was amazing, and it was so nice and quiet at the brewery. It was also Oktoberfest weekend, so I enjoyed a delicious German-style Pilsner that was delicious. I even multi-tasked and walked on the trail to get there, while reading my book, so it was an extra special self-care kinda morning.
