Happy Friday! It’s getting too close to the end of the year, it’s crazy! This week was pretty busy with Brett travelling for work, school functions and field trips, Reece’s visit to the doctor’s office and work. But it’s Friday and that is great news! This weekend Oktoberfest is taking place at the Crooked Can Brewery, and we’re excited to head down there to be outside, see the live performances, and drink and eat good food and drinks.

Let’s get into Fab Five Friday!

Heatless Curling Rod Headband

I snagged this heatless curling rod headband off Amazon one time on a bulk purchase because I thought it was a great idea to get wavy hair without the heat damage. I finally used it and it really works! It wasn’t that hard to sleep in, either. I sleep on my side a lot and I realized I did so a few times with this on, but it still came out really nice. Next time I’ll probably try to tie my hair a bit looser for a more wavy curl because my hair was really voluminous and curly when I did it this first time. Definitely a fun purchase!

Halloween Decor is Up

I finally got the Halloween Decor out! Praise be! (A little Handmaid’s Tale humor? And oh-em-g this week’s episode!)

I’ve decided that my house is built for yard decor only. I’ve tried and failed so many times hanging zombies and spiders on the house, and I cannot figure it out. Someone please send me the blog post with this secret! My last attempt was attaching zombie man to this tree. But 20 mins later he was on the ground. So, I’ve completely given up. (Not sure if you can see the giant spider I so brilliantly purchased just thrown on top of a bush.) It’s definitely not worth the frustration at this point because I LOVE this holiday so much! So yard decor it is. And how cute is this ghost? $12.99 at Aldi! Total score. I might need to go snag another character for the other side.

Previewed the Old Packing House

There’s something super exciting brewing across the street from my neighborhood on the trail. It’s going to be called the Old Packing House, and it’s converting a historical citrus packing plant into a marketplace with shops, restaurants, offices and art.

My mom got invited there this week as part of the art community to check it out, as the visionary for the project wants to include spaces for artists in the design. I have been watching this place undergo the beginnings of construction each week, so I definitely wanted to check it out with her. It’s going to be very cool if it all works out the way it’s planned to. I’ll keep you posted!

The Guest List by Lucy Foley

My current book. I’m about a quarter of the way through and it’s getting really good now that the characters have all been introduced and are developing. There’s so much more to uncover, but I’m liking the suspense. It’s about the wedding of a successful magazine mogul and her handsome TV star husband on a remote island off the coast of Ireland. Certain people’s pasts are slowly unfolding as a devastating accident takes place during the wedding.

Libin Lightweight Joggers

I decided to keep this pair of joggers. I almost kept both colors I got, black and maroon, but decided to stick with black as it’s more versatile. I like the snugger fit of these joggers versus some others I tried, but they were still really stretchy and comfortable.

The Evereve Catalog

I got this in the mail, and never heard of this boutique before, have you? The styled outfits throughout the entire catalog were so elegant and chic. I pretty much want to dress like everyone of the outfits in it—for when I am actually dressing in something other than gym clothes. I’ve always wondered what my “style” is when it comes to clothing and I’m not sure I have one. I’m keeping the catalog for inspiration because I really loved what I saw. Has anyone ordered from there before? Let me know in the comments below!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Let me know what you are up to below or on Facebook! And if you’re interested in more Fab Fives, check out last week’s Fab Five #21 or stop by the collection here.
