An Interview with my 7 Year Old Son

Reece is 7 years old! He’s a competitive, athletic, smart little guy with a passion for art and sports, and he’s still my little cuddler, too. Time is speeding by, too fast! This post was one of my favorites from last year and I am so excited to do it again this year. I’m posting this late, but I did ask him these interview questions, which are different from last year, the week of his birthday. And of course, there was candy involved! (They really can’t sit that long without some motivation!) Here’s an interview with my 7 year old son, and boy is it hilarious!

Questions about My 7 year old son

What do you know how to do that you could teach me? “Soccer. I’m gonna have this.” (Reaches for a piece of candy.)

Why do you think kids go to school? “To get smart.”

What is your favorite outfit to wear? “Athletic clothes.”

What makes you really annoyed? “Today at school, when we saw a worm, it was on a plate and right when we got it, there were two girls at my table and they screamed so loud and I was like stop it’s just a worm.”

Which of your nicknames do you like the most? “Reecy.”

What’s the best thing that’s happened to you lately? “Ripsticking and skiing!”

What’s a question you’d like to ask me? “How many years have you been in this house.” My answer was 10 years.

What’s your favorite place in the world? “New York, definitely New York. Except it’s also painful.” He’s referring to the extreme cold we experienced on our recent vacation.

If you could have any superpower, what would you have? “All of them mixed together.” I finally got him to name his top three to get an idea of what that meant. In which he replied, “Talking to animals, telekinesis, and invisibility.”

What would you do with $1,000? “Buy things for my family. New car for dad.” (Runs to rylee to ask her what she would want if Reece had $1,000.) She said, “Skincare or a new phone.” Then Reece continued, “For my mother, a new phone. A good one.” Aw.

Sports Team: The Bucs; Portugal, Argentina, Brazil and France soccer teams (He’s really into the World Cup and playing FIFA)

Questions About Mom & Dad

I love it when Mom or Dad cooks: “Chicken and Pastries, and the Ush.” (The Ush… short for The Usual, is pasta, chicken nuggets and a veggie. Takes absolutely no cooking skills whatsoever.)

What do you love doing with your mom? “Skiing.”

What do you love doing with your dad? “He does a lot of fun stuff! Cruising!”

When I grow up….

When I grow up I want to be a professional soccer player.
