Happy Fab Five Friday! And happy belated Father’s Day to all that celebrated. Another week that flew by is in the books. This week Rylee had her summer dance intensive, where she got to spend the entire week learning every style of dance from tap to hip hop and musical theater to afro jazz. It’s an amazing opportunity for them to try different choreographers and they get placed in their teams for next year. Reece is at the Winter Garden camp this week and they went to see the movie Elio for their field trip this week. He was so excited! Here’s what else was Fab this past week on this edition of Fab Five Friday!

1. Rylee’s Dance Recital

The big event this past weekend was Rylee’s dance recital. (Or should I say recitals.) She was in three shows because she is on the team, and did so amazing. It was a long day of dancing but she loved every minute of it. And we always love watching her on stage.

2. The Ladder App Summer Pass

I’ve been raving about this Fitness app and how I’ve been hooked ever since I tried my 7-day free trial. When they say they don’t ask for a credit card, it’s true! You can try this app completely free for 30 days with this summer pass. After my 7 days were up, I decided to keep up with it and I recently upgraded to the full year. It’s the best app I’ve ever used for fitness routines. And what is so special about it, is that there are real fitness coaches creating new workout plans on a weekly basis. I am on team transform with Coach Shelby and she is always talking me through the entire workout, pushing me to go harder and heavier, and for me that really works. There are 6-week programs that keep things interesting, and right now we are in a Summer Series before we start the Reload Strength Series. The workouts are curated and it’s pushed me everyday to try new things. I highly recommend it and now is a great time to try it out. So get on it!

3. June’s Book Club Pick

I just finished Watermoon, June’s book club pick, and it was such a different style of book that I am used to. I just recently got into the fantasy genre with ACOTAR and this fantasy is such a journey through another world. It was so different and I enjoyed the journey and the unique storyline. I do agree with a lot of the feedback on Goodreads about the characters and their relationship not being as deeply connecting as I wish it was, but it was still a very enjoyable read.

4. 6 Types of Working Genius

Another book I recently finished, which is more of a professional development book is The 6 Types of Working Genius. I have never read such a captivating professional dev book before. The way it was written was more like a story than a self-help book and it made it such an enjoyable and relatable message. I think about these geniuses all the time at work now, and it makes so much sense. I love the idea of honing in on people’s geniuses in order not only to thrive in the workplace, but to truly connect with the work that brings you joy and energy, and being able to identify the work that may lead to frustration and burnout.

5. Vera Bradley Towels

It’s summer time, and the best time to stock up on pool and beach towels! My go-to is usually a Tj Maxx or Marshalls for towels at a great price, but I have to share with you the sale that Vera Bradley is having right now on their towels—$16.99! Which is the same price as Marshalls, and the quality of them is amazing. They are extra large and the designs of course are so much fun.

Thanks for stopping by on this Fab Five Friday! Let me know how your weeks was in the comments below and what you would highlight as “Fab” this week!
