Fab Five Friday 68

Happy Friday! First, I wanted to mention how devastating the effects of Hurricane Helene have been to witness through the news and social media. I can’t stop thinking about all that was lost and how scary it must have been for everyone. I’m also very aware of how lucky we were to not have been affected by this storm, knowing that it very well could have been us or our friends and family. My heart goes out to everyone impacted by Helene, those who are missing loved ones, or starting the painstaking process of rebuilding. I’m sending my deepest regards and well wishes for safety, recovery, and healing to all who need it. With that said, let’s talk about some of the more positive and lighthearted highlights of the week in this week’s Fab Five Friday post.

1. Certified PMP

I wanted to officially let you know that I passed my PMP exam! Yay! I am so excited and have been telling everyone, and now you! I’m so proud and relieved it’s over. It’s a huge accomplishment and I’m excited to continue on this professional journey.

2. Book Club Meeting

The girls and I met this week for our September book club meeting and it was the best! We had to push it back a week due to the hurricane, but I am so glad we were able to make it happen. It was a consensus that this was such a great read! We love Kristin Hannah’s take on historical fiction and bringing the women’s side of the story to light. So many great twists which made the conversation so good as well! Click below to download my curated set of questions that got our juicy conversation going.

3. Honest Beauty Bright Eyes Tinted Eye Cream

Ok I am officially obsessed with this stuff now and will be a consistent purchase! Especially after Mac discontinued the concealer I used to use under my eyes. I love how light this stuff is and it really makes my under eyes brighter.

4. This Month’s Book Club Pick

The Dutch House Book

I am so excited for this month’s pick! The audiobook is read by Tom Hanks. I mean you cannot get better than that! Check out all my book club picks from this year in this post, and also to learn more about October’s pick.

5. Mother Daughter Dates

And finally, throwing this one into the mix because I found this little gem of a photo in my phone from last weekend. My mom and I were able to sneak out of the house while the kids were playing and the guys were watching football and had a mother daughter date. And it was the best! We always get so busy and then are always with the family so it was nice to have some one-on-one time. We were sitting at the bar of Hangry Bison in Downtown WG and drinking delicious cucumber refresher martinis. Now that’s what I call a date!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend filled with joy, self-care and family time. Feel free to comment your week’s highlights of your week below and keep the positive flow going!
