Wow, Friday is here and what a week it has been. It’s Summer baby! The kids’ last day of school is officially today! We celebrated Rylee’s 5th grade status with a super fun parade through the parking lot at school. The entire school was there waving, cheering and wishing her all the best, while a DJ blasted top 40 hits. It’s been a rollercoaster, not only of events, but emotions too. We’re super excited for Rylee’s new chapter, for a break from school, and for summer sun, pool days, camps and vacations! Now let’s get into a recap of this crazy week and this Fab Five Friday!
2. Rylee’s Senior Walk Out
Big events this week for this girl! It was an emotional day on Wednesday when Rylee and her classmates took their last walk around campus. Parents and family members were invited to attend to cheer them on and it was such an amazing experience. The entire school got to watch and cheered “Ea-gles” the whole time. Then, she was able to leave her legacy at the school with the Lock ceremony. So happy I got to be a part of this special day.
1. Reece End of Year School Project
Reece also had his special end of the year moment, with his Wax Museum project at school. It was a little much to have to prepare a presentation at the end of the school year, but he did amazing and looked so good. His person was Bill Gates, and I think we pulled it off. The entire school walked around and got to interact with the kids and they gave small speeches about their person. Super cute!
3. New Golf Cart
Our new golf cart has to make it on the blog Fab Five! We got our new golf cart a few weeks ago, but this was the first week we got to really enjoy it. I took it to a PTO end of year dinner in town and we finally got to chauffer some friends to the brewery over the weekend. We love that we have the additional seating now for our parents and it’s electric instead of gas, which is so much better.
4. Reece’s Final Soccer Tournament
Reece had a killer tournament to end the soccer season last weekend. We are so incredibly proud of him and his team and all the progress they’ve made since the beginning of the season. They played so hard and got second place in the tournament. He’s excited to continue practicing over the summer and for another great season next year.
5. Be Well by Kelly Protein Powder
I love Kelly and all her advice when it comes to nutrition and clean beauty products. She is so smart and I love that she explains the science behind everything. I’ve never tried her protein powder before (it’s pretty expensive) but she was offering a free sample of three of her flavors and I jumped right on it. Of course it’s amazing! It tasted so good and I know that she’s put a lot of thought into clean ingredients. Join her newsletter for great tips, and offers like this free sample pack if you’re interested.
Thank you so much for stopping by this very exciting Fab Five Friday! No tears today, only happy feelings and excitement for the summer break. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
