I am writing to you from the Orlando International Airport with this week’s Fab Five! We are on our way to the When We Were Young Festival! Today we are meeting my brother and his girlfriend there and have plans to go to an amazing art exhibition and dinner at the Cosmopolitan.
We are so excited to see some of our favorite bands play again all in the same location!
1. Bringing it back with the studded belt.
I’m just gonna post this because it’s funny, but of course we had to bring back the punk rock studded belt for the festivities. (They still make them! 😂)
I’m so looking forward to seeing the All American Rejects who I’ve never seen love before and one of my all time favorite bands Acceptance, which my brother introduced me to.
The kids are home with Nana and Papa and loving every minute of it I am sure.
2. In the Mix Cookie Kits
Before I left I had a little cookie decorating fun at our house with the neighborhood kids. I found these cute cookie kits at Aldi and thought it would be a fun thing for Halloween week.
I have to say I felt super cool making these because they do take some work but not too much if you know what I mean. It was more then breaking apart cookie dough and throwing in the oven. I actually mixed the ingredients and cut the cookies out with a cookie cutter. 😅 It was kind of fun!
Mixing the icing was the more difficult part. Cause it did not harden the way it was supposed to. But it seemed like the kids had a lot of fun doing it.
I also had this fun sticker game that the kids played while we waited for the icing to harden (which actually never happened).
3. Winning Fantasy Football
Also taking this time to brag about my standing in Fantasy Football because I don’t think it’s gonna last after this week. (Whyyyyy, Ja’marr Chase!) But check out who’s number one. (That’s me… at the top!)
4. Baltic Born Dresses
I found this site when looking for dresses for our family photo shoot coming up. I had such a specific vision in mind and searched so many sites, but this one just kept coming up. I ended up buying two dresses from there and I’m so happy with them. I can’t wait to see how they turn out in the photos. I will be sure to share!
5. Rylee Spirit Squad Event
The kids had such an amazing week at school, this week! Rylee made the principal’s honor roll and Reece made top three in his class for the week, voted on by his classmates and teacher. We were so proud! And to top it off, Rylee had her first performance on the spirit squad at school and the teacher sent us some photos it was so adorable.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and enjoyed this week’s Fab Five! Check out last week’s here if you missed it.
Have a great time!
