One of the things on my Bucket List for this year was to try a new fitness class. I always love keeping my workout routine interesting and switching it up. So, when I recently came across The HITFIT Gym, I was super excited to give it a try. And now I am hooked!

The concept is super cool, and the best thing about it, is you can go at any time during the day and get an intense 35-45 minute workout that’s different every time.

The Format of The HITFIT Gym

It’s a circuit training workout with 10 pre-set stations, each with a TV screen showing either a HIT move or a FIT move. HIT is a combination of kickboxing and cardio/bodyweight moves, and FIT is a mix of weights and cardio. Each station is set with the equipment you need, and it’s fast-paced. 30 seconds on, 15 seconds off, 4 rounds at each station.

It’s so intuitive and easy to catch on by yourself. The lights in the gym change with what interval you are on. When they’re red, it’s rest time, and when they’re green it’s go time. They also count down and tell you when to switch stations.

Each time you go, you can choose if you want to go HIT or FIT.

Why this workout rocks

No workout is the same in this format, which is what makes going so much fun. I also really love that it’s available at any time. So for someone with a schedule that revolves around work and after-school activities, it’s easy to fit it in. You don’t have to worry about being late to a class or not having a class time available to fit your needs. As long as you make it there, you’re in for a great workout.

Speaking of busy schedules, it’s also a plus that I don’t have to ever think about what my workout is going to be because all the work’s been done already!

And it’s pretty fun to get some aggression out on the punching bag after a long week.

Challenge yourself to workout harder

There’s also some really fun ways to add an additional challenge to the workout on days you need a little more or want to push harder.

There’s a screen in the middle of the room that tracks your heart rate compared to others working out. It only works with their heart-rate monitors, though. The one I use doesn’t connect to their TV, but I still wear it sometimes to track my heart-rate on my phone and make sure I’m getting the most out of my workout.

If your wanting a longer workout, or feeling like a challenge, you can even go around twice—one round of HIT and another of FIT, to get in an extra dose of sweat.

As things start getting easier, there’s plenty of weights to keep you pushing yourself and upping to heavier ones.

And when that doesn’t work, the trainers who are there during the day push you harder and make sure your completing the moves correctly to get the most out of it.

Track your progress

One of the coolest things I experienced when I first started was the Fit3D body scan.

It takes a 360 degree scan of your entire body and emails you your measurements and other stats. I’ve never had accurate measurements before so this was so cool. And it’s a great way to monitor progress made as I continue this workout over the next few weeks. Definitely gonna scan again to see what improvements were made. Now that is a motivator!

If you are looking for a new way to workout, that fits your schedule, you have to check out The HITFIT Gym.
