Happy Monday!

I cannot believe that we are already in the last week of the month. And that means we are in our last two months of the school year! There is no way I am going to have a fourth grader and a first grader. I told the kids to stop growing the other day but I don’t think they are listening. It’s crazy!

I’ve already started researching summer camps and schedules, it’s always a bit of a puzzle, but I love getting them to try different things they really enjoy doing.

This past weekend was an incredible one to be outside. It was in the mid 70’s and even when we were home, we kept the doors open and there was a wonderful breeze.

Friday night we decided to head to Downtown Winter Garden in the golf cart and walk around to enjoy the hustle and bustle of the city. It was such a great night and it worked out perfectly for me to sneak off with some friends to celebrate a birthday bar with a bar crawl while the kids and Brett picked up a pizza.

Happy Birthday Melissa!

Saturday

Saturday started with Rylee’s soccer game, bright and early at 7:30am. Reece had a bye week which was such a bummer, but we were able to leave the fields early and make it into First Watch for breakfast before the crowds got there.

My parents met up with us afterwards, at our place to hang and we grilled out for an early dinner of picanha steak and a corn, bean and avocado salad which I can’t wait to share the recipe for.

Sunday

Sunday started with breakfast and lots of chores, mostly laundry. And a very exciting family trip to our Aldi, which was just renovated. We’ve missed it so much and enjoyed seeing it updated.

And Reece was upgraded to a booster seat, just one more reminder that these kiddos are growing up! He was really excited because he’s been really uncomfortable in his current car seat.

(He’s holding money in his hand for the ice cream truck that we kept hearing outside the neighborhood, but never came. So disappointed!)

The kids played outside the rest of the day and Brett and I hung around the house getting ready for the week, with the breeze coming through the house.

I eventually got out for a bit for a 30 min run on the trail. It was perfect running weather.

Now, it’s the start of the week and almost the end of the month! What were you up to this weekend?

What are your plans for April 1st. Do you do anything for April Fool’s Day?
